Can I wear a survival knife in public?
Well I use a survival knife when I go fishing and it has a sheath to put on my belt around my waist. Tomorrow I am supposed to go fishing but I have to walk 2 miles from where I can park, so I was wondering if I have this knife on my waist in public can I get into any trouble with the law? Some more information, I live in Kentucky, Ft. Knox. Thanks to whoever helps me out !
If you are on post, you will need to check post laws because they can be differant then the state laws, trust me im a retired MP but couldnt tell you what the post laws are on the knife anymore. For your state, just call your local PD and ask, if I recall I think most of the time the location you carry the knife and the length of the blade itself is what the laws look at. Also try google.com, you might find something.
