Could this be a possible solution to Illinois’ Asian Carp problem?

Some sort of lake, lagoon or park, where all the asian carps could be used for recreation…there are sooo many people that i know that would love to go fishing. Unfortunately, some chicago parks are like fish-empty lol…so…could it be a possible idea?

That wouldn’t solve the invasion. That would add to it. You would have to first catch all the carp, every single one from the rivers and toss them in these ponds… impossible to do. Then, there is no stopping people from putting the carp back in the rivers. So in short, no, it would not solve it but rather worsen it.
Egad – please no! stock non-invasive fish in the parks if you must.
Firstly, the other posters are correct. Never introduce an invasive species of ANYTHING into an area where it does not belong.
Secondly…Asian carp are filter feeders and do not eat “bait” per se. They consume zooplankton and phytoplankton. That is why they are such a danger to the Great Lakes as they would be eating all of the food that the perch , bass, and walleye ( as well as many other fish) fry need.
Keep thinking though it will take a brilliant idea to combat these nasty critters.
