do you need a fishing license for holiday parks that offer fishing (England)?
ByI am planning a holiday in Jan or Feb 2009, a weekend in a log cabin that has lakes that you can fish in. Will I need to get a license to do this or do holiday places like that have their own agreement or something?

It depends on the resort, some resorts require getting a license at a store before going there, and some the license is included in the pack, you just need to figure out what is included and what is not. I always look for a license, a guide, bait and equipement before booking the vacation.

YES, unless its scotland you need a license, you can buy them at you’re local post office or online. You can buy, year, day or week licenses. If its just lakes then a non migratory license is all you need, if its migratory fish, like salmon you need a migratory license, that will also cover you for lake fish like trout, carp etc. You do not need a license for saltwater.
