@ninelives9999 yeah ,there’s always next time. As soon as i hooked it i said to jay ‘it’s a 30!’ notice the gap in editing- it was about 30 seconds of swearing!

Nice pike, I usually keep a pair of forceps clipped the the unhooking mat as you never know when you might need them. Shame about the rod bender coming off, theres always next time, thats what I keep telling myself when things like that happen.
You guys should give me and my mate a match at Todber, were only 15 but we are quite handy with a fishing rod.

good days and bad days. all part of fishing. still a very nice pike mate. only ever caught one, whilst quiver tip fishing. bringing in a little roach on very light tacle, all of a sudden, rod bent double and stripping line out into the lake. did actually land it, some how managed to hook right in the corner of its mouth. excellent fighting fish, but i stick to carp.
nice one.. how much are those session buckets? and is it like 500gsm of boilies not a kilo?
