Fly fishing in the north-central united states???

Does anyone know of any state parks with decent fly fishing in the north-central united states (or any trout fishing parks)? I know Missouri has a few trout parks, but what about directly north of Missouri??? Any state park/trout fishing park names or websites would be greatly appreciated. Im planning a camping trip with my budyy. We plan on heading north to canada from texas and want to stop and do some fly fishing along the way….any info would be helpful, thankyou.

In northern Wis. there is a state forest along the Bois Brule river where it runs into lake Superior. Fantastic fishing for salmon and trout that run upstream from the lake. Just go to google and type in Brule river….you’ll get links to a ton of websites about the state forest, campgrounds, local businesses, etc.

I don’t know about the parks, but I can give you some waters to try:

In Iowa, French Creek and Waterloo Creek in Allamakee county.

In Wisconsin: The White river close to Mason, Wisc.
Big Green River, near Fennimore. Prarie river, near Gleason.
Wolf river, Eau Claire river, Upper Plover river. Big Hay Meadow Creek.

In Minnesota: Middle Branch Whitewater river near Elba, and
    Beaver Creek near Caledonia.

There is a good article about flyfishing in the Midwest in the June 2008 Fly Rod& Reel Magazine, where I got my info.

Good luck, and don’t forget to try the White River in Missouri

In SW Wisconsin – the DRIFTLESS area, a spring creed wonderland! Google it.
In NW Indiana – Steelhead fishing from Portage to Michigan City, IN.
All through Michingan – classic trout fishing.
