I live in Orland Park, Illinois and am looking for a good place to fish for some big fish. Where should I go?

I went to Starved Rock Illinois last weekend and people were catching fish but it seemed a bit crowded. I’m looking for a lake that I’m guranteed to catch a big one! Also, I only fish along the side of the lakes so I don’t go on boats. Can anyone tell me where are some great places to go to with lots of fishing action?

i went to starved rock just 2 days ago and caught nothing:( I live in marseilles IL which isnt that far from it anyway I like LaSalle lake at around 5:30 pm yesterday i caught 9 10-inch catfish weighing at 1 1/2 pounds! this was over the course of about 20 minutes. So if your looking for action, go to lasalle lake. by the way for 6 of the catfish i used chicken liver, 1 of them i used powerbait, and the other three i used a nightcrawler soaked in chicken blood, all with my 33 zebco pole. To make things clear im a boy on my grandmas account

definitely have to go to the kankakee river. If you have not fished in a river too much before you will be getting alot of snags, but also alot of fish.use mostly live bait, and bring heavier line.If you just want to catch big fish and not eat them then go to lake Michigan or Chicago river put corn on your hook and reel in huge carp.hope you have great fishing.
