What are some of the lakes with electric camping sites near Topeka?
We will be traveling to Topeka, KS for an event this fall, we would like to camp at one of the lakes there that has good facilities and shady camping.

Lake Shawnee has shade and good facilities.That’s on the east side of town near 29th st and Croco rd.Easy to get to anywhere in town. That would be the closest….The other area lakes are Clinton lake near Lawrence Ks east of Topeka approx 25 miles away……Lake Perry north and east of Topeka approx 35 miles away…Pomona lake approx 25 miles South of Topeka and Tuttle Creek Reservoir …….approx 45 West of Topeka…..Those are the major ones in the area. Dont know what kind of camping areas they have but Lake Shawnee is close and well kept,shade and hookups …………ujn
