what’s the difference between Camping and Being Stealth in COD?

A lot of people said in my last question it is best for a beginner to camp in COD and I think I know what camping is, is it when you stay in the same place shooting at people? And from what I’ve seen stealth is staying in the same place and shooting and moving to another place and doing the same thing.
camping is when you stay in the same spot and being stealth is when you and moving around from place to place
People will accuse you of camping even if you not, but technically people call it camping if your in the spot for more than maybe 20 seconds and if you move and stay there for that long then it still sorta counts. But bein stealthy is like running around with ninja pro and a silenced gun and killing people and dissappearing and just surprising people which is always fun
Stealth is when you move place to place with perks like Ninja and Cold Blooded, and using guns with silencer and possibly heartbeat sensor. The aim for the stealth is to remain undetected until the moment of combat and possibly going around knfing undetected.
Camping is where the enemy know your there but due to the great positioning they can’t kill you and just wave after wave die in front of you, especially when it’s in their spawn area.
You are correct about both really. Camping is a favored beginner tactic where you go into crouch or go prone and shoot people that goes past usually situated in corners or rooms. Stealth in Cod is similar yet you move once you have killed one or two enemies, use your environment to your advantage, be very aware, using silencer, cold blooded etc, using the Mini map/UAV and Perks to your advantage
ok what stealth is to you is actually pretty good, but people will still call that camping, what i do, is i completely make myself invisible, so like i would have a class with cold blooded or uav jammer with a silenced weapon…. this will make you completely stealthy, so then u just float around the map slowly, you shouldnt run out there, or instead of floating around, you should be flanking the enemy is always best, watch out for claymores though……anyway there is no way people can see you on the map but if it goes into sudden death like in sabotage, and the kill cam.
I heard a really good description of camping vs strategic play:
Camping refers to staying in one position covering some route where there is little to no chance of you being killed (i.e. crouching at the top of a ladder, shooting people who come up it, no chance of them being able to shoot you)
Strategically defending a position might be considered “camping”, but there is no shame in guarding a bomb site or flag. And while you can patrol the area, sitting in a defensive position is just as good.
And yes, people will accuse you of camping even if you aren’t. don’t let them get you down.
I disagree on the stealthy part…
Camping is the douche-bag approach. They go to one place, sit and wait until someone comes across their hiding place and then they shoot. Yes, it is a great way to get kills but how much skill does it take to sit in a corner? About the same amount of skill that it takes to run around with a thumper, or a rocket launcher.
The kills are great but you aren’t improving.
Being stealthy… Being stealthy, in my opinion, is when you are being flat out sneaky. You know where your enemy is, and you manage to out-flank them and take the kill – with a silenced weapon, or even better a knife… and then you vanish before someone comes to investigate (or that player returns to get revenge). This route, unlike camping, takes more skill. It takes the player to try and understand how the enemy team is working, and try to work with it to his or her advantage…
Camping is when you hid in one spot for the full time until someone kills you. And usually after they die once, they go back to that spot again. Most campers dont have any special class for camping, but instead hope they can last a long time in that one spot.
Being Stealth is camping some but your steadily moving from one spot to another but also making your weapons to better suit being un noticed. If your going for stealth, most people have Cold-Blooded or Ninja Perks on. Most guns have Silencers or Heartbeat Sensor.
