Will Mountain Man go camping this weekend or will he stay home to avoid the drunken amateurs in the woods?

Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor day weekends tend to fill campgrounds, forests, and parks with people who think camping is about being loud and drunk. Generally they tend to blow themselves up with their LP grills, pitch their tents in poison oak, play their music too loud, and get into hazardous situations that require skilled outdoors people to get them out of.

If he is smart, he will go to areas inaccessible by RVs and anyone carrying a case of beer and/or a lounge chair into the woods to celebrate the holidays. Head to the hills mountain man, where the loud drunks won’t go.

i stay home most holiday week ends, but did labor day at a lake one year way out in the middle of no where. Still a few jack-asses

Mountain Man works all weekends and holidays. Also, he hikes deep into wilderness areas, beyond the tracks of dog-walkers. That way, he does not need to see any drunks, hike in anyone’s footprints, or rescue anyone on Fourteeners. Torreys Peak killed another one Saturday.

If he is a true Mountain Man, he would never submit himself to the common weekend camping grounds in which you will find idiots aplenty doing the things you stated .
Real Mountain Men camp in the deep woods and rely on their gear , wits and solitude to get them through .
The question really is … is Mountain a Poser or the real deal ?
