Fly fished Merced river in October and had a wonderful time. Rain and full moon but it was great time fishing for most beautiful wild trout in and around this area. Fished with Y-Ugly dry fly tied and designed by Andy Kim of Andy Kim Fly fishing in New Mexico guiding service. Trout were very picky but with the big boy (meal) they couldn’t resist coming up for it. It was hot once the down pour stopped. Just every pocket water there were trout jumping on this fly. Caught and released bunch and lost my personal best that wouldn’t budge and also missed bunch of hits… Enjoy
