Dont forget the dog dishes!……I always do and end up buying new ones for the camping trip!
and dog food too!, Dogs need lots a water ..so one that wont tip over !
and one more thing…..a chain so he wont wander off make sure it’s long enough so he can hang out in camp with out getting stuck in the fire pit!..I always worry about that and a leash too….

Yea, just the basics. Whatever you need to survive and be comfortable is what you should bring. Safety items are good too, like first aid kit. Food, stuff to cook your food, a chair, some clothes, sleeping bag, the matches or lighter, and whatever stuff you’d like to have to entertain you (frisbee? Wittlin’ knife? whatever you’re into).

And for the puppy…. well, whatever your puppy needs at home is the same stuff he’ll need camping. Soft place to lay down, clean water, food, treats/bone, the leash/rope. Dogs are easily pleased, and they won’t care if you feed ‘em on a paper plate! One thing that I find vital is some Frontline or Advantage flea/tick medication. Get the kind that’s made for a puppy, and put it on before you get to your camping spot. My vet says that unless you’re camping in the deep woods of like Alabama, Frontline or Advantage is all ya need, but ya really should use it to keep the fleas and ticks off your little pup.
