Getting ready for camping?

Hi!
So I am thinking of going to camping.. (I wrote a question about good camping ground near Socal)
And I want to know what to bring…
I have no idea what to bring.. Because my parents are extremely busy and they really can’t speak english well… I was in charge of getting ready for camping..
So any suggestion on what to bring (asain family) would be helpful..
Also I want to fish.. (California) and I heard that you need a fishing liscense? (My mom, dad, sister[16years old] and I[13] will be going)
So here is the question
-What should I bring to camping with me?
-Do I need fishing license? where can I get one? How much?
Thank!

If your 16 and over you need a fishing license, available at any sporting goods store including walmarts $41.50 basic license

Here is a check list of what to bring

What you should bring varies on your level of camping. For example, when my husband and I go, we have a basic campsite, no electricity/running showers. If we go with my parents, though, we have to get an electric site due to my mom’s health issues, so we tend to bring more stuff (fans to keep it cooler, lighting, etc).

So.. I would prioritize what you want. Always bring the basics… toiletries, blankets, pads to sleep on, pillows, food and stuff to cook with.

Also, remember entertainment! I read a lot, so that’s easy for me to grab a couple of books, but especially with your siblings you might want to grab whatever handheld electronics they need to keep them busy. Make sure they’re small enough to be hidden in a glove box or something, though, so they don’t get stolen. AND make sure you have a way to charge them.

I am assuming car camping (driving to a camp site)

tent and tarp for under (remember to roll extra tarp hanging out under tent or it will be useless
    bug spray
flash lights and or head lamps
    maybe a camp lantern
probably a gas stove and small pots and pans
food for everyone plus 10%just in case
sleeping bags and pillows or blankets
    rain wear
    a few sets of clothes
    toilet paper
older then 16 bring a fish license
plenty of water or a water pump filter, not a Beretta
good foot wear for passably lots of waling
    towels
if showers bring stuff for showers
if there is stuff that can get wet like clothes keep them in plastic bags
    sun screen
maybe some camp chairs, folding chairs
    and most important, fishing ear
no electronic games, the takes away the purpose of camping, enjoy the outdoors
