i really need help i dont know what to do….and i dont want to be with out her for a week. urgent(im leaving in a couple of days!!) she is a bichon/maltese…..
send me an email with info or nething to batman-luv@hotmail.com…. it would be grealty appreaciated!

It should be, as long as you keep an eye on it, and if its not outside much, keep it on a leash. To keep it comfortable, take its favor blanket or bed with you.
It`s ok, as long as she`s vaccinated. Bring her crate and lots of water and food..
She has had 2 vaccinations? I would be very leary of doing this… Just cause others take their dogs and you have no way to know that they are properly vaccinated or not.. You don’t know what kind of animals are in the area and what they might be carrying.. Distemper and Parvo would be the 2 that would really worry me.. If you can find someone to babysit her it would be a much better idea til she is done her shots.
it is not good for your puppy to be out camping or out for to long
I think you should bring her….. I am sure she will be slepping a lot so bring her bed with you. Also if it is going to be cold I would buy her a sweater. I think she will be fine. Just keep on eye on her.
If u want 2 bond with your puppy, then u want to include him or her in just about all your activities. If u would leave her behind then the puppy would feel abandoned. I would find a way to take the puppy wit me, if I were u.
If you have a crate bring that with you but if not i suggest that you get one. Get one before you go camping and get her use to it by leaving it open so she can come in and out as she pleases and give her praise when she does go in and teach her to like it and that it is a good thing and not bad, put some things in it to make her feel more comfortable and at home, she Willl look at this place as a place where she is safe and nothing can hurt her when she is in it, make sure she has plenty of water. Take the crate along with you and she can stay in there and you can take her out as you please. Remember dogs are den animals so she wil be alright in there.
As long as she has had her shots, she should be fine. Make sure to take bottled water for her. DO NOT give her water from any source on your trip, it will give her the runs and with her so young it could be very dangerous.
To keep her comfy, take her crate, 2 or 3 beds, some toys and her leash. Keep an eye on her to see what she explores and make sure she doesnt get into trouble.
Also, google vets in the area where you will be, just in case. You probably wont need it, but if you dont have it, you will.
Have a great trip.
Well it’s OK to take the dog with you , you need to watch out for snakes and overheating if it gets really hot , and just bring her doggy bed or a nice soft blanket that she can sleep on and everything else is just the same as if you where at home you still heave to take her for walks , feed and clean water .
AT 8 1/2 weeks has she had ALL of her vaccinations? That seems kind of young. Don’t take her if she has not had ALL her shots. She could come down with anything while camping. Check with your vet.
of cos its okay to bring your lovely pup for camping… and when the food ran out, you can consider to bar B Q your young tender meat pup. mmmmm yummy.
come on! dont be a pet fanatic. do you sleep with it as well, go makan in coffee shop with it, even driving car with it at the steering wheel. well, i ve seen some crazy ass doing just that!! its so unhygienic and dangerous. evrything has its own place unless you reckon yourself as a D*G???
for your info, i have 5 german sherpards…
NO NO NO NO It is not okay for your to bring her camping if there have been other dogs in the camp site in the last 7months or maybe even a year.
WHY?
The deadly parvo virus—your pup needs to be fully vaccinated against it before coming into contact with other dogs/or places where dogs have been.
Parvo has no cure and only the symptoms can be treated and you hope your pup can pull through.
Parvo can live outside on the ground for seven months—it can also survive freezing.
Check this out:

The survival rate of a pup with parvo being treated by a vet is good– 75-85% but it is expensive and intense.

Also, search the Yahoo Answers site and read some of the sad questions from people who have a pup with parvo that is dying and they don’t know what to do
Please rethink thIs!
NO..NO…NO…NO…NO
First – you’re dog has not had all of her immunization shots.
Secondly – for the one’s she’s had – her body has not had enough time to built up immunity to any of those nasty diseases that exist all over – especially PARVO and DISTEMPER.
They are everywhere – and I mean EVERYWHERE.
Those viruses exists in mosts animals – wild and domesticated – but most are immune against them.
If I remember right, a lot of people bring their dogs camping.
People pet their dogs. People just LOVE PUPPIES. People just got to pet, kiss and hug puppies. And if those same people may have the Parvo virus on their hands – they could transfer it to your doggie.
Secondly – Dogs get walked, while they get walked, males mark their way by spritzing on the leaves and plants. Dogs also defecate. When other Dogs come along, even puppies, they just got to smell what’s come before them – be it spritz or poop – and who knows if its from an infected dog, but immunized dog.
Your little 8.5 week old pup is going to be everywhere – in the weeks, woods, spritzed leaves, poop – everywhere. What’s going to stop her from picking up some viral spores?
NOTHING.
So please Sir – Don’t bring her camping. Wait until next year. You’ll be glad you did. Your pup will be safe until her immune system catches up to safeguard her against all those nasty bugs around.
I just saw that the poster above me posted the same sort of note – bravo to him – he knows what he writes about
Ken
….and don’t forget ticks and fleas that spread disease…should be on a preventative…..
just too much of a gamble for the pup’s health
