What dog should i get that will play and do stuff but also just watch t.v. with me?

By

like i don’t want it to have to run all the time( like when its no running i want it right by me though) but i would like it to take camping and play fetch with. i want it to be very loyal and wary of strangers. there isn’t really small kids to worry about unless my friend brings his 6 year old girl to my house when he comes over.thats all i can think of now but i will edit later.
ok, just a dog that will calm down is what i mean, also i dont want it to shed a toncause in the winter it is freezing where i live, so it has to tolerate cold. i might even bring it in some days in the winter cause its so cold.
i have owned dogs before, and to the first answer, i am lookin g for answers that say dog breeds, not telling me what to do.

Do your research on the breeds that you like. Just remember, if it’s not given the correct training it won’t matter what dog you get. They don’t come ready to go unless you get an older dog that is already trained….check out your local shelters. There’s lots of dogs that will suit your needs :)

ADD>>>You better really do your research on even owning a dog….they need coat to protect them in the cold and if they have a long coat they will shed. Make sure you are totally prepared to own a dog and know all that goes with that..including care, feeding, grooming, and training.

Sounds like you’re describing the perfect dog, lol!
The Labrador Retriever seems just about perfect for what you want, though they usually aren’t very wary of strangers.
German Shepherds are a bit more wary, but they are very close to their owners. However, you could have aggression issues over you if you don’t train them properly while they are young Some of them are very doclie.
BUT, you must remember that both of these dogs need lots of exercise in order for them to watch T.V. with you. I walk my German Shepherd three times a day and even that is hardly enough.

I think you should get a Labrador Retriever because they are just the best dog.

Check out the local shelters and pounds! You could save a life and improve yours at the same time. :)

Akita are calm dogs and they seem to think stuff threw. My akita watches tv with me n my lil one. Just have make sure u walk them daily. If u live around louisiana I could get u one for $200 13weeks old akc approved. They are also good with kids if around them a lot. And are one most loyal dogs u can get akita are also pretty easy to train but can be hard headed
These don’t shed a lot they have thing called a blow out and it happens twice a yr it makes up for them not shedding but u donft have worry about shedding everyday lol

A golden Retriever would be perfect, they are very loyal to their owners, truly the smartest breed I have owned, they don’t make the greatest guard dog but they are protective of you and your home.
A cane corso would be good too. probably an older one for you though, They are awesome guard dogs and would fight til the end for their owners, they are very affectionate too. I have one and she watches t.v with me and will sit and calm down when i tell her too. Good Luck!
