What to take to Camp?

I am going to Young Life camp in June (its a while away, I know) But I’ve never been to camp before. What should I take? I would just like to have some kind of idea what I might need. Thanks!
Girl, 16, From June 13th-19th

shirts, shorts, pants, underwear, socks, pajamas, bathing suits, towels, sweaters/sweatshirts, sneakers, flip flops, sleeping bag, pillow, sheets (depending on your camp), book, stationary, stamps, pen(cil), toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, something to carry shampoo conditioner and soap in the shower, camera, water bottle, suntan lotion, bugspray, sunglasses if you want, deodorant, hair elastics, a brush, cards if you want, ipod if you want, and a trunk to carry all your stuff!

Not all of this stuff is essential, just bring what you need!

I am very experienced when it comes to camping. I know this because I am in a high rank in Scouts. But, you should bring more clothes than the amount of of days you are going (eg. 7days, maybe bring enough clothes to last 12 days). You will also want WOOL socks. Whatever you do, do not wear COTTON! If it rains at all, cotton will keep your clothes wet, and you could get hypothermia. Wear something like polyester or a breathable material.
You would want to wear hiking boots, water resistant is best. You will want to bring sun block, sunglasses, a hat, and most important, WATER!

if your going to an over night camp bring blankets or sleeping bag if they have a lake or pool swiming gear tooth brush if they have showers soap shampoo clothing and any other basics but not food in were ever your sleeping or electronics cause electronics will ruin the fun of camp and food will bring in animals if its day camp just bring basics like a lunch and what ever else you may need good luck its going to be fun!!
