What’s a mild, preferably natural laxative that I can take while I’m away at camp?

When I go on vacations, the stress, new food, and new surroundings usually make me mildly constipated. While I’m away at camp, I’d like to be able to take something or eat something that will stop this from happening. Nothing too intense though. (: Thanks!

Prunes still work great.
Of course, today they usually call them “dried plums”.
PICKLE JUICE
Black licorice is great for that. You’ll be pooping like a goose.
Here is a what a site suggested, it had great advice,
A person who has no more than three bowel movements per week is generally considered to be constipated, a condition that limits bowel movements and causes the stool to be small and hard. To fight constipation, many sufferers prefer to use natural laxatives rather than harsh over-the-counter medications. The most popular natural laxatives are foods rich in fiber. Fiber is found in fruits, vegetables, and grains.
When a person eats food rich in fiber, his or her stomach acids work to break the fiber down into soluble fiber and insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber is the portion of the fiber that is hard to digest. It moves into the bowels and does not change form, which can cause hard stool. Soluble fiber, on the other hand, helps to soften the stool because it rapidly absorbs water. When water is added to soluble fiber, it turns into a gel-like sponge and rapidly enters the bowels to soften the stool.
Psylium Husks are other forms of natural laxatives that are sold throughout the world. They are beneficial in the relief of constipation because they offer high levels of soluble fibers. Many companies sell Psylium Husk capsules that are inexpensive and easy to swallow.
Prune juice is one of the better known natural laxatives. Prunes are not only high in potassium, Vitamin A, and iron, but they are also extremely high in both insoluble and soluble fiber. Prunes work efficiently and quickly as natural laxatives. Therefore, just a small amount of prunes is generally all it takes to relieve constipation.
Lack of exercise can also lead to constipation. The reasons are unclear, but patients who are bedridden as they recover from surgery or accident often deal with serious constipation issues. Gravity may be a factor. Nonetheless, daily exercise is another type of natural laxative that many individuals overlook.
Yogurt is by far the easiest way to regulate your digestive system. You don’t have to worry about the excess gas that a spike in fiber would cause. You don’t have to worry about side effects of drugs or herbs. It’s safe, easy, and good for you.
Try magnesium. It stimulates the bowels.
i agree with Abriel …….. magnesium rich foods like broccolli, kale, chard, celery, buk choy, organic nuts and seeds like almonds and brazil nuts and sunflower seeds, wholegrain breads and cereals like brown rice……….. magnesium is essential for healthy nerve and muscle functioning and will thus help resolve constipation, bloating, stress, headaches and migraines, high blood pressure, back ache, muscle twitching…………. the green vegies are also rich in vitamin C which is another natural laxative ………. chow down on those foods and that may just resolve your symptoms……. oh, please drink loads more water too and ditch any sodas or pop you drink cos they’ll only dehydrate you terribly and leach you of your precious vitamin C and B complex water soluble supplies………;0)
peace baby

There is a product that you can buy in any drug store/walmart. It is called Fleet. It is a supository but it should work quickly so you put it up there & you will feel like you have to go & will go. Drink a bottle of water as soon as you wake up & do this & that way you will be free the rest of the day. I would also take a box of prunes & put them in a zip lock bag & take about 2-3 a day. No more than that.
try psyllium. it’s a powder you mix in water. it gets thick, and has no flavor. drink it fast and you will be fine the next day
