Why did my heater & a/c blower stop blowing?

I have a Dodge B350, 1993 Van Camper RoadTrek. 5.9 1-Ton

Its funny because my heater & a/c blower stopped blowing at the same time. There was a tiny bit of heat coming out at my feet. The doors were not stuck at my feet. I do hear the dash switches working and clicking on and off. My battery went dead at the same time to. I don’t know if its related or not. When i jumped the car it started right up. I hope i don’t have a short.

Any suggestions to help me would be great.

Let me know if your a mechanic or not and what your knowledge is.

I used to own a repair shop years ago.

Sounds like your alternator is going out. A car’s electrical needs are filled with the generator. The only thing the battery is used for is to start the car. After that, you can literally remove the battery and the car will still run properly. If the alternator goes bad, the car will then revert to running off the battery. After it starts to drain down, electrical things will stop working. You can jump the car and restart it if it dies, but it won’t last very long until it dies again. Run, don’t walk to the shop and have them test the alternator. I am betting you will find it is bad. One more thing. Sometimes, if the alternator goes bad, the extra drain on the battery will cause it to fail also. If that happens, don’t blame the repair shop. It just happens. The opposite (battery going bad, alternator fails) can also be true.

Is the aux switch on? lol. That could be the problem if it doesn’t turn off. have it checked just in case for saefety. A guide book also can come in handy to reduce cost.
