I would, but I’d buy a smaller and roomier RV w/a reasonable 10+ MPG, instead of a Camper Van. I can stay for free in any BLM, US Forest Service & many State campgrounds for free due to my Disabled Veteran Status w/my Golden Passport for 2-4 weeks at a time throughout the States & especially in NV, AZ & So CA during the wet winters here in OR. With the free space and portable Solar cells for battery charging that would power lights, TV & PC, it would enable me to save at least 75% of my 3k monthly disability.
Buy a gun & learn how to use it for self defense, whether at home or on the Road, but check each State’s gun laws when traveling through their state, especially California. If you have a CWP/CCW from your state you are licensed to drive in helps w/reciprocal rights to carry in many other states. Google CCW and ‘Happy Trails’ if you decide to ‘hit the trail’.
