how do you get around once the RV is at the campsite?

We plan to go RV camping in Nova Scotia. We would rent a 26-30 foot mobile home. I’m wondering how people get around to do things once the RV is parked? I’m assuming you can’t just take the RV wherever you’re going as if it’s a car. And do you know of any websites for RV newbies?

Can you drive an RV with a water bed instead of a regular bed?

I have a skin condition that only allows me to sleep on leather, silk or something without dustmites. I want to spend some money on an RV rather then living in Apts., but I need a waterbed. Currently I have to sleep on a leather couch because I don’t know exactly what I can do in an RV. So my question is can you place a waterbed inside an RV to sleep in rather then its usual bedding.
