Many wind generating machines will be economical for only limited remote locations.
To make them economical in general you will have to use a machine that will produce above 10kW, and likely 20kW.
If you want to see who is offering a 20kw wind machine, google ‘wind 20kw’
You will find that many of these offerings will be from China, and Chinese machines are a good buy. But some vendors are not to be trusted. Know that you will have the machine in the trailer when you make the payment.
Chinese wind machines are built with the assumption that you will not have a breaker in the circuit such that the blade would spin without resistance. You might dump excess power to a water heater, but not let the blades just spin.

In my experience, any solar power panels or windmills that generate power worth buying are pretty expensive.
However, I built a windmill myself a couple of weeks ago to try to save money on electricity.
I was able to build it in one Saturday afternoon and I got everything I needed from the hardware store for less than $150.
Now it is powering a couple of lamps and a TV. I am expecting huge savings on my next power bill.
Here are the plans I used:

wind and solar power generators are VERY expensive, but they pay for themselves in about ten years.
