Fed Tv 141109 Go Solar for Climate Change – Independence in a Post Oil Economy

Welcome back to Project Bluestar folks! Its time time to look at some some solar energy solutions that can help save the human race from the clutches of climate change. Did you know that in 1 hour, enough solar energy shines on the Earth than what the entire human race uses in power in one whole year? This fact makes solar energy the ideal solution to change humanities dependency on fossil fuels significantly. On this Fed Tv transmission we join the team at Earth Sanctuary in Central Australia & on the peninsular in Victoria as they install a brand new photovoltaic solar array as well as a solar hot water system. This means the Project Bluestar team can do more work with no extra cost to the planet. What’s more, is that the new addition of renewable energy can act as a safety net for the constant interruptions caused by climate shift all over the world. Independent power supply is a great solution for everyone. It is our aim with Project Bluestar to help you get more sustainable & independent and ultimately remove your over dependency on a system which has out grown itself. We hope you can all work towards the same solution whever you are on the planet. If government & industry cant make the changes necessary to reverse the detrimental effects of atmospheric pollution & wild weather, then it’s up to all of us to make the changes for ourselves & for each other. This is the Do It Yourself generation and quite simply, that’s always the best solution. Enjoy the flick groovers. Keep doing your bit for the green revolution and let the good times role. Go solar and may the sun shine out of us all! T :)

I am very interested in wind too, I have a damaged 7 meter high radio mast and will be utilizing it too, but I am in a fairly urban area and haven’t had a chance to gauge neighbors reaction to the tower yet.

Thanks for your reply. At the moment I got a small battery bank with 210Ahrs storage, it is just running an electric fence and will do maybe a couple of small LED lights in the kitchen and living areas. I have a small 25 watt solar panel coming but still in the post. Will be putting an oversided charger regulator on it so it can be expanded later.

Normally with solar power you can expect to pay about $10 per watt. That is the average retail price. If you have constant strong winds in your region as well, wind turbines are a great option. Best of luck and keep us post. GF

out of interest how much did each 135 watt panel cost you. Been looking into it myself but only starting out with small system.
