Me too i am going to wait on how you put it on a stand with correct angle facing the sun until you connect it to the bulb and give us light.

Thank you and God bless too

it wont last long because all plastics used on PV panesl must be UV resistant.

i watched all 11 videos in the series. you did an awesome job on it and really gave me incentive to try it out myself.

Thank You for the 411 on building solar PV panels. I think I will use aluminum channel instead of wood. I know it adds more cost but I am hoping for longevity. I am looking forward to you mounting brackets, or stand. Keep the edification going.

@gggggg320 The diode doesn’t have a + or – on it, but it does have a white ring on one end of it. I put the white ring toward the solar regulator. I hope that helps and thank you for the question, Lonny

does the diode has + – i mean you have to put her showing to battery or does not matter how u connect it ?

Thank you Thank you, this has been so informative. I have read so many useless article, bought so many confusing video’s without truly understanding what the heck it was all about.

I’m very interested in doing it myself just because(well I’m retired, broke, lots of time little money and I love the technology) If I were 30 years younger I would try to open a solar store with reasonably priced solar “stuff” for DIY ers, classes and lots of books.

Thanks — This is the best…

After watching all 11 videos in your series. I needed to tell you this. A friend of mine had purchased a how to series for around 45$. In my opinion your series was much more informative then that one. You did a wonderful job making this series!!! I thank you very much for this… Jim B J & L Woodworking

I know it is based upon preferences but it seems to me you spent a lot of time and material to achieve results that can be got with less. I did the same with one of my DIY Panels but didn’t get any additional power generated. Good Work on your accomplishments to date and I wish you further success in the future.

Thanks for a fine video series on solar panel building. I thought I would mention, instead of a wood frame, I’m looking into PVC plumbing pipe for the frame, it’s plastic, the table saw cuts thru it like butter, so it’s easy to work with, no need to paint it, it’s super cheap and it’ll last alot longer than wood.

@dtadpole The final cost with the 2 different vapor barriers that I used was $110.00. With a different barrier like the contact paper it should be around $92.00
