What is a major disadvantage of using solar power?

damage to wildlife

radioactive waste

electricity cannot be generated

requires large storage batteries

What is the primary reason fusion is not used in power plants?

Fusion causes too much air pollution.

Fission generates more energy than fusion.

The cost of using fusion in a practical way is too high.

Current technology is unable to control the reaction.

Which common respiratory problem can be caused by air pollution?

coronary disease

pulmonary problems

asthma

diabetes

The only disadvantage to solar power is that it’s very expensive.

The only reason fusion is not used in power plants is because we don’t have the technology for it. If we did, the world would be perfect and we would never need gasoline again.

    The answers are(in order)c,d,b.
First, solar power isn’t reliable to generate electricity during dim light.
    Fusion isn’t practically feasible.
Pollution affects lungs the most by blocking air passage, there are no spasms-the case of asthma!

the only one i can think of is, not making the rich oil people richer ..what about their children do you want them to starve? .please don’t use solar power, millions of rich kids might die they have no other source of income ..so save a rich kid, burn that oil ..and for GODS sake don’t use the sun to power our lives ..oh my god, next thing you might say is ,,the poor children deserve an education too..whats next food for those poor people, what is this world coming to ?

The sun isn’t active at night, so if your electricity stops working, you’ll have to wait until the next day for the sun to come out. If it isn’t sunny, you won’t get much solar power so at night it will not work.

For what it’s worth, I think these are poorly-written questions.

The most correct answer for the first one is the storage batteries. But a modern photovoltaic system can run alongside the grid, using no batteries.

The answer for fusion is the cost. But if this is an old test, they might have been fishing for the last answer, about inability to control the reaction.

For the last one, all of the first three answers are applicable, but pulmonary (lung) problems is the best fit. Asthma is one kind of problem associated with the pulmonary system.

I have a solar system for warming water . But today it was cloudy and we could not get warm at home , consequently , I think it is the major disadvantages of solar system.
