where to get repairs on my Chevy 454 big block?? Reseda Ca?

Its in a 1987 Honey motor home. Iv called several people including the chevy dealer near me and no one wants to touch it.
I live in reseda california and am hoping not to have to travel to egypt to do this.
I just bought it and it runs great with only 37000 miles on it, but there are some questionable things such as the fuel pump (I went to the beach and the thing would barly turnover, then once running I had to gas hard out of stops or it would want to stall) and the apperant leak in my power stering unit.
Also I have many questions as this is my first experience with an engine like this. Im used to modern day stuff..

you need to find a good independent mechanic shop, not a dealer or Pep Boys or anything like that.
its a gm block, nothing to worry about. most power steering systems leak, that is a fact of life. the hard to crank idea, have the battery(ies) tested. aside form that a tune up could be in order. its an 87 with low mileage, i assume there is some issues with that. vacation use only? id have fun with it in Sacramento, almost.
