   I would suggest spraying it with verathane or a polymer coating. Should give the protection you want. Do it in 2 or 3 light coats, so that the sealant can best penetrate the wicker.

   don’t listen to people who tell you to clear coat your wicker. Pier 1 already put a top coat on it. YOU CAN’T PUT WICKER OUTSIDE, unless you don’t care what happens to it.
