I have many spider webs on my deck with sacks in a straight line going down the middle. Anyone know this type?

I have many spider webs on my deck with sacks in a straight line going down the middle. Anyone know what this type of spider web could be? I never see actual spiders just the “sacks” in a straight line down the middle. They are on my patio furniture as well.

  1. BlackTalon770 says:

The “sacks” are egg casings. All spiders produce them.

if they are inside the web itself, they are ‘containers’ of the insect that got caught… the spider is filling up her ‘cupboard’ for a little later when she’ll be making her egg cases and needing extra food at that time…..egg cases are hidden , out of the weather, not left in the web…..
