Is it necessary to bring patio furniture inside for winter?

I have a very large set of patio furniture. Its all metal and glass. Its very well rust proofed. Do I have to store it indoors for winter or will it be okay outside? I don’t want to cover it with anything because its near the front of my house and that will look ugly. We do get some snow where I live.

If you keep it up high enough not to get the legs buried in snow there’s no reason not to just leave it there. However I would definitely cover it. Front of the house or not…..passersby will think you’re nuts to leave it exposed to the elements……..frankly that would be my take on it too.
It all depends on where you live. I’m in Lubbock, Texas…and it is a desert. My stuff can stay outside with no problems.
We do get a little dusting of snow once in a while, but it sounds like you are more blessed than us in that respect.
Don’t leave snow on it for a long period of time and, if it rains a lot, take some time now and then and dry it. There shouldn’t be any problems during the first winter. But if this is going to last for more, however rust proofed your furniture may be, you will eventually notice rust effects on it. Prolonged exposure to water beats any metal coating. A covered place, even if not completely indoor, would be ideal.
Hope this helps,

You will either want to bring it inside or cover it. Harsh winter conditions can really take their toll on outdoor furniture and you will not be happy when the furniture is damaged. I wouldn’t give up on the idea of covering the furniture. There are some covers available in different patterns and materials and I am sure that you could find something appealing.
Not really, as you can cover them with sailcloth-style tarpaulins to protect them from the rain, snow and frosts.
