outdoor furniture: wicker, metal or wood?

Looking to buy outdoor patio set. Should I get wood, wicker or metal? Willing to pay more for longer lasting furniture.

wicker will eventually get mildew, wood is good if it’s redwood, metal is probably the best especially wrought iron.

Well if you want long lasting, I say metal. The downside to that is they get really hot during the summer if they’re in the sun and really cold in the winter. Certain types of wooden furniture can be long lasting too, they coat it with some protective layer to protect from rain and other environmental damages. Though probably still not as long lasting as metal.

    I don’t know about wicker

Wood is very nice and usually has a protective coating.I like metal myself, easy to clean, just spray furniture polish on it when you store it to prevent rust or overwintering outside..I don’t think it matters as long as you buy good quality.Any of it will only last so long out in the weather,so buy what you will enjoy using.
