what kind of patio furniture covers will withstand very cold winters?

I live in Chicago, and want to leave my patio furniture outside this year. Can someone advise me of what to look for, and where to purchase them.. Maybe some can tell me from personal experience. Hope so. Thanks

Don’t get the cheesy ones that are vinyl, like tarps, with no lining. They tend to crack after one winter and will need to be replaced. (These are sold at discounters like Big Lots and WalMart). Better to spend the extra money to get the ones that feel more like fabric, are water proof and thicker. Both Home Depot and Lowes sell them and you will be happier with their durability in wind and performance in cold weather applications.

only problem I found with the cloth ones is that they fade or discolor after a season, I bought wrought iron and take the pads in during the cold season. Just have to repaint every other year to protect against rust.

CedarStore.com has a large selection of outdoor furniture covers. We have purchased ours from them and the covers hold up very well.

    Good Luck!
