My 2000 Ford V10 Motor-home Vacuum Does Not Work The Air/heater Controls.?

By

When the Air/Heat control not is changed the vacuum does not change the heat or air control. I think the vacuum is not working at the control. The motor runs fine etc. What is the small “softball” size canister located at a high level on the firewall of the vehical ? Unable to locate any vacuum hoses that are loose or bad. Need help ! thanks.

The round thing stores vacuum some times only one hose at the storage bottle. I would be looking at the engines intake manifold where heat and vibration can crack the vacuum supply hose and next at the vacuum check valve (one way valve). You can temporaly remove the one way valve and insert a vacuum T or connector with no leaks at idle the engine vacuum should operate the air doors inside the heater case.
