1984 coachman motorhome question?

I own a 1984 coachman 27 foot leprechaun motorhome the floor is water damaged and I don’t think I can get much for it if I sell it so I was thinking about stripping of the body and being that the truck itself runs great with only 66,000 miles on it, I would like to make a tow vehicle out of it to tow my new RV trailer, and I want to know if the camper-motorhome body can be removed leaving just the Ford E-350 cab and frame???

Yes, if you have the time and patience to do this it can be done…..the only this that might give you some problems will be the electrical for the rear lighting…..

My stepfather had such a vehicle years ago, it had a flatbed and was a sort of extra cab. You have to deal with closing in the back of the cab. 27 feet would probably be too long so shorting of the frame and drive shaft would be necessary. It can be hard to get rid of a RV that is no good, you might be stuck paying someone to take it or stripping it anyways to get rid of it… might as well strip it and build your hauler.
