Personally as a Virginia resident and as a virginia tech fan I think it is a slap in the face, what kind of garbage, piece of crap human would treat an innocent beautiful animal in such a cruel, and unusual way. I hope he goes to jail for a long time, and I def. never want to see him on tv playing for the nfl ever again!!!
I don’t hate anybody, but i think he should get suspended, and i hope he get’s a fair trial.
I hated vick BEFORE this! So I still hope the NFL bans him for life and he gets shower loving in prison ….from pacman
Vick deserves nothing but jail time. And Clinton Portis should get punched in the mouth and fined for saying that Vick is justified because they are “just dogs”. What an animal, Clinton Portis is Vick’s little b1tch, and he sucks anyway. Plus, he’s annoying. Lock Vick up, he abused and took the lives of harmless, helpless animals.

Pitbulls are worthless anyways. More than half of the cities in our country have laws against them. So someone makes a few bucks off of it. If they were impounded the vets were going to euthanize them regardless. I love my Boston Terrier but Pit Bulls aren’t dogs.
I think that anyone that is involved in animal cruelty ( examples, dog fighting and cockfighting ) should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law ( which should be made more severe ) and that they are disgusting excuses for humanity.
Coming from an animal lover it just makes my blood boil. It just amazes me that people are able to do that and have no regrets. One word caught my eye during that question…ALLEGED! Don’t hate anyone until he’s proven guilty, if he is proven guilty. If he’s proven innocent, the animal rights people will look like complete idiots.

I wouldn’t go as far to say that I hate Michael Vick. That’s a little extreme. I think animal cruelty is wrong, but it’s not like he went around killing people. If he was involved, he will probably do some time. Some of you are being naive. Dog fights have been going on in this country for quite some time. It’s nothing new. If he does time, he does time, but come on “I hope he goes to jail for a long time.” Your being melodramatic.
Dog fighting, bong water in airports, and flipping off his own fans asside………..I never thought much of Michael Vick. Sure he is the first QB to rush for over 1000 yards, but Cordell Stewart could rush too. Big deal. What was his QB rating last year? Oh yeah that’s right! 75.7 and threw for only 2474 yards ranking 22nd in the NFL. And how did the Falcons finish last year? Oh yeah that’s right…..7/9 and 3rd in the NFC South!
BOTTOM LINE is the Falcons organization were IDIOTS to build an entire franchise around a single player. Now it’s going to cost them a lot more than the $177 million they agreed to pay this scumbag for his 10-year contract and a couple of years of average play at best.
I didn’t like Vick before the dog fighting thing. Always thought he was severly over rated. To me he is nothing more than a running back who lined up at qb. It really says a lot about your passing skills when Joey Harrington has a better completion percentage than Vick has. Personally I think they put Vick underneath the jail and throw away the key and at the same time throw his brother Marcus and Clinton portis in there.
What gets me is how Joe Horn is carrying on about Vick. This is the same Joe Horn who didn’t like catching passes from Aaron Brooks (Vick’s cousin) when he was with the Saints.
I’m disappointed as a fan of the NFL cuz Vick is a very talented athlete and was always fun to watch, but people this is an INDICTMENT not a VERDICT, the man hasn’t been proven guilty yet and ’till then he’s is innocent that’s how our justice system is supposed to work… ideally.
But it is pretty sick what those guys did to the dogs, if you can do that to animal and feel no remorse more than likely you could treat a human the same way
Nope, he hasn’t been found guilty. I’m still a huge fan of him until he is ACTUALLY found guilty instead being accused of doing something.
Yes, alot of us hate Michael Vick at this point. And it took this to make me hate him. Until this indictment I was an avid Michael Vick fan, absolutely loved him and defended him for all of his indiscretions.
No more, I hate the man and I will forever. The cruelty he subjected these animals to is beyond belief.
Just dogs? some say. Those dogs had no choice but to accept the treatment and murder that Michael Vick exacted against them. Recently in the news there was a story about a toddler who was about to be attacked by a rattlesnake, and the family pet,, a Chihuahua, jumped in front of the baby and took the bites. Do you think Michael Vick would have done this? I think not, he threw his cousin under the bus when this story first broke. Michael Vick is not as good as the animals he abused and tortured, he should have no more rights than they were afforded by his horrific actions.
Innocent until proven guilty? Like OJ? No thanks, I have read the indictment, I am aware that his unemployed cousin did not have the funds to finance this dogfighting operation. It is very obvious who did.
I also would hate to ever be forced to look upon his face on an NFL football field again, and be forced to picture the tortured, starved, abused, electrocuted, hung, shot, murdered dogs that were unfortunate enough to be in the hands of Michael Vick.
What a scumbag. What the hell is wrong with him? It pains me to think of what those poor animals went through for this sick person’s pleasure–they were probably just puppies wanting to play! What a disgusting human being. It helps to know how much people are outraged by this. Animal neglect and mistreatment has to stop.

I do hope he gets the 5 years he is facing. Problem is he may serve 2 of the 5. The good news is that the federal prosecutor’s record in these type of cases is very very good. At best I see this bringing to light the horror and absolute insanity with being involved with animal fighting for pleasure.
