Are there any beach front camping places anywhere in North Carolina? Like literally on the sand with campfires?

My friend and I are planning a road trip along the east coast before she moves to the west coast this summer. We’re going all the way down the east coast and want to stop in North Carolina to sleep somewhere, we’re trying to do ocean front camping. I’ve been looking all over the place online and all of them are a little ways away from the actual beach, we’re wondering if there are any places to camp out in a tent literally ON THE BEACH where you can pitch a tent and have a small camp fire and everything. Preferably somewhere in the outerbanks or maybe even Wrightsville Beach area, but honestly I really do not care where as long as someone gives me some websites for OCEAN FRONT camping!! please help us!

Check out Freeman Park at Carolina Beach. You can drive on the beach and pop a tent right there. Just gorgeous. Plenty of public bathrooms and it’s a fun environment. Costs about $20 to go out there.
