Are there any serious threats in Pike National Forest, Colorado?
I’m wanting to go dispersed camping in this forest near Sentinel Point and i was just wandering if there was a high concentration of any threatening animals.

There will always be bears, wolves etc in the area. But if you play it smart, as in knowing how to store food and garbage and keep a clean campsite, problems are rare. I would go to a gun store and purchase a pepper spray designed to ward off dangerous wild life. It can spray a long distance and is pretty effective in a non lethal way. If you shoot an animal, even in self defense you can be jailed. For the most part, they just want to be left alone as you do.
