Best place for Camping and Hiking in Oklahoma?

Me and my friend are in college in Oklahoma City and looking for a close by place to Camp and Hike for a weekend trip. Within five hours away at the most, preferably a little closer. We would really like a place with some elevation change and more secluded than crowded.

Oh man! Eastern Oklahoma! Somewhere in the Ozark Mountains! Everywhere else is just grass and corn!

I backpacked the Skyline Trail in Beavers Bend State Park in eastern Oklahoma near Broken Bow. And I camped at Bee Creek. I recommend this hike for seasoned hikers only.

The Charon’s Garden Wilderness Trail is located within the Wichita Mountain National Wildlife Refuge near Lawton. I especially enjoyed backpack camping there in late September when the elk are in rut. I had the privilage of listening to a bull elk bugle most of the night on my last camp.
