Michigan state parks have cabins. Check them out here:

Good luck.
First of all Michigan is a big state (because I live in this sucky place too) so I am not sure what is or is not hours and hours away, but since I also do not like dirt we rent houses at http://www.vacationrentals.com They are always nice and affordable and way better than some camp site with bugs! Yuk!
Good luck!
I would agree, try a mini cabin, teepee, or yurt at a State Park with the website above.
Alternately (and much more expensive) would be a vacation rental or private campground. Some will offer RV’s for rent.
being from the metro detroit area, and a big hunter/camper.
i go to the koa in wadhams. cabins with heat/ac and sleep
8,also have fire pits and porch swings=60-80 a night
the cottages are110-140
has a western town style entertainment area, pool, train,go karts, bikes for rent etc.
there is a new campground in forester, just noth of port sanilac
called forestville… has camper trailers(new) sleep 8,140 a night. cabins=80 a night ,pool, general store,arcade,lake
with paddle boats and kyaks
