This guy is 18 said he graduated at 16, joined the military got shot in Quebec…not Canada, somewhere in eastern Europe and he was sent to Camp Oklahoma to be treated. Just want to know if he’s full of sh*t.

You can join the US Armed Forces at 17 with parent’s permission.
He could be telling the truth. He graduated at 16, but he probably had to wait until his 17th birthday before he could join up.
Who’s to say he graduated at 16, but turned 17 a few days later?
in the US you can join at 17 but must either have a HS diploma or a GED, (marines require diploma). you can enlist in the Delayed Entry Program before getting either as long as you are working towards a diploma. i think in canada, UK and others you can enlist at 16
This guy sounds full of shit! Camp Oklahoma is pure Bull C R A P! Fort Leonard Wood OK is one thing but Camp Oklahoma just does not exist!
It could be true to a certain extent but is HIGHLY unlikely!
In the US you can join @ 17 with parental consent. If in the Guard or Reserve they can even go to Basic while 17. They CANNOT go on active duty until they are 18. They cannot be deployed as a Guard or Reserve member without having gone to AIT for MOS training. MOS is military for JOB. Even if he went to AIT after graduating and was 17 he could not deploy until 18.
Sneaking in underage is damned hard these days…but I guess it could happen.
One thing IS VERY sure…..bullets leave scars…he would have paperwork to back up his claims.
Ask him the names of his Drill Sergeants. Any hesitation means he is full of crap. Those names and faces are there forever in the back of your head. Ask him what his MOS was and where he went to school. Ask him what his VA rating is….might as well have some fun watching him squirm or come up with an excuse about it being a secret.
You did leave out which Army he claimed to be in…..Canadians and Brits are in here asking questions too.
SSG US Army 73-82
good point wayne c, in the uk we dont call them camps or forts. they are just given a name, usually the name of the local town, i.e. aldershot, pirbright etc. the navy name their bases after historical naval figures like nelson and collingwood
You can join the U.S. military at 17 with your parents’ permission. You would have graduate high school before shipping to Basic Training/Boot Camp. You will not get shipped to a combat zone or anywhere dangerous until you are 18 though. Only Quebec I know of is in Canada and unless he was accidentally shot during some joint Canadian-American military exercise, his story sounds pretty unlikely.
