Can a U.S. Navy female corpsman be stationed in Camp Lejune, North Carolina (it is a marine base)?

I am thinking about becoming a corpsman and was wondering about this, if anyone knows about any websites that could be informative or knows the information it would be a lot of help. Thanks! :)

Yeah. It’s your job to job to remind Marines to change their socks.

  2. No Little Hippo says:

yes, you could work at Camp Geiger where the Marine Corps holds MCT (Marine Combat Training). There were lots of Corpmen there and Geiger is like 10-15 minutes away.

Yes, Camp Lejune is a Marine base. A Navy corpsman is like a medic, or EMT if you will. The Marines don’t have these readily available so being in the same branch together they work with Navy Corpsmen. Look at recruiting websites they could probably tell you something. Hope this helps!

Yes. The restriction against women in combat means that you cannot be assigned to a combat arms unit of company size or smaller. You can still be assigned to schools, hospitals, clinics, aid stations, brigade headquarters, battalion headquarters, fleet service support group, air wing, etc.

There are dozens of websites about HMs. Simply Google Corpsman and look through them.
