Can you request which military base you want to deploy to?

I’m thinking about joining the military and I’ve done a bit of research but I’m wondering if it’s possible to request which base you want to go to… For instance, I want to be stationed in Washington or Oregon… Is it possible to request that I get stationed there after boot camp?
in the army you fill out a dream sheet with the bases you wish to be stationed to. but it’s still in the needs of the army..

you get a wish list of bases you want to go to doesnt mean you will get to go there needs of the military come before what you want
When you get deployed you go where they send you.
