Can you take a small RV to a regular mechanic?

I’m going to buy a really old ’73 motorhome and was wondering if a regular mechanic could take care of it, or do I have to find an RV repair place? also, if it’s only like 28 ft. and not too big, can a regular tire jack work to change tires if one goes out? do some RV parks not allow old RV’s for aesthetic reasons? what are some free places to park, other than Wal-Mart, Rest Stops, friend’s property?

Drive train and suspension they can usually handle but things like stove propane water heater plumbing and the likes is best left to an RV mechanic. and no theres some parks that will let anything in, not that I’d want to stay there, just saying,
