Could I move on, get an agent, get more into film now?

I’m 5’11’’ and I model for a few local photographers as well. I had to take a break for a while when my parents got divorced and my mom got ill.
So do you think I have enough? I’m doing more classes and workshops, too. And I’m doing extra work this summer. I live in the suburbs of Detroit so the film business here is growing, but there aren’t too many open auditions that don’t require an agent. :/
Oh, and the Musical Theatre, Auditioning, and Improv have been from the same teacher and I’ve been with her for four years.
I forgot to add I’ve done comedy classes as well. I’ve also done basic acting classes.
George, not only was that a good answer but a RESPECTFUL and SUPPORTIVE one at that. I’m so tired of people coming on here, especially this section, giving what they think is a “wake up call” and completely tearing down young kids.
Thanks so much!

I am no expert, but I’d say maybe a few more productions would be good? That is, if they were just one show each, because if they were several it would be better. Also an acting career in film is tough, some of the best actors will never become known, I strongly suggest using an agent and throwing yourself at as many open roles as possible. Good luck and maybe you’ll become a star one day

Hi – yes, the answer from George is great. But I’d also suggest that you should seriously look into trying to get into a drama school. Many agents, especially the good ones, won’t take you on unless you’ve done a full course at one of these. You can certainly try sending your CV to agents, but just as an example, my daughter went to a drama school, has a good diploma in acting, has a CV showing over 40 full-length plays in which she played a major role, six short films, a music video and a small role in a feature film, and she still can’t get an agent. It’s very competitive.
Keep getting lots of experience, and I’m sure you’ll get there one day – but you need to be persistent!
