Phoenix, Arizona—Chicanos Unidos Arizona has been working with MEChA and The National Council of La Raza to promote a Senate bill in which undocumented immigrants would get social security benefits from the time they started working in America. We are pleased to say that this bill may move forward along with a larger amnesty bill that Senate Majority Harry Reid will introduce in the next couple of weeks.
Even though spokespeople for Harry Reid haven’t confirmed this, some in his camp have suggested this is a real possibility, especially
since he is trailing behind Sharron Angle in the Nevada election polls.
Promoting a bill that would include social security benefits for undocumented immigrants is not only the humanitarian thing to do, it is a politically smart move. Nevada has a huge Latino population and Harry Reid knows how to pump up Latinos when it comes to getting votes. Many make fun of Harry Reid for his support of Latinos, but he—unlike his critics—is on the right side of history.

ITIN? No SS taxes paid as a person claiming ITIN status isn’t allowed to work in the US and therefore can not claim SS benefits! It’s an investment tax reporting device!

Doesn’t anyone besides me think such legislation would kick off a nation wide hunt for Illegal Aliens with a massive kill off of anyone looking Hospanic! They have been pushing for SS benefits for illegals for years. Pathetic that our own senior citizens who worked their entire lives are not going to get a measly $10.00 a month raise again this year,but they will bend over backwards to give benefits to those who used fraud to work here. How much lower can our politicians go to screw the US citizen.
