Ok. Long story short. Since I was in high school i’ve been in love with my best friend. 2 years ago I decided I was going to tell him how I felt and he didnt really respond to it. We didn’t talk for 6 months after that. Then last summer one of his guy friends told me he felt like he made the biggest mistake of his life by turning me down and the reason I was down on the lake that night was for him to tell me how he felt. And sure enough he told me that he felt in his heart that he belonged with me….. Our parents are close, his family loves me and my family loves him so this was exactly what I have wanted for years. Problem? A few weeks later we were talking and he said we couldn’t go through with actually dating because if we broke up our friendship would be over and things would be akward for our families. I completely cut him off until this past April because I was soo hurt. We’ve been talking since then and hanging out. Everyone can just tell how we feel by the way we look at each other. Our personalities match soo well and we always have a great time together. We recently took jobs at a camp instructing tennis that 16 hrs away from home. I have 6 weeks with him to see if we can make it work. Because in the fall he moves to South Carolina thats hours away and i’m going to be completely lost without him here. I need advice on what I should do. The chemistry is forsure there and I know that he loves me. I just dont know if I should lay it out on the line and give it another chance, or keep my mouth shut and be content with our friendship. I know if we could get to dating that we would be fine. Please read and help. I leave in 2 days for our trip and I need to get some courage or keep my mouth shut.
