How do you get paid active duty 0-1 pay while finishing your bachelors by commissioning with National Guard?

I am an E-4 enlisted in the Idaho National Guard and have 80 credits towards my degree and want to know how the best way to make the most money while I finish my degree would be. I am offered traditional ocs at 60credits and I am offered fast track ocs at 90 credits. I heard from a Captain that was at the education center hear in Camp Victory in Baghdad that there is a way to go about school and commisioning that you can get paid active duty pay of a 0-1 while finishing your degree. Any advise on what to do would be great. Thank you.

victory. i was at Liberty right around the corner.

i think you are misunderstood of what that CPT said to you. in order to be paid as an LT you must first make it to that rank. the NG isn’t going to pay you in hopes you will make it. as when you go threw the OCS you are a cadet. and paid accordingly. so maybe this is what he meant. that you will be paid as an O-1 while in schooling OCS.

either way… victory was chill in 06. depending on MOS> so i would think you would have time to get those last 10 before return
