my husband is graduating from boot camp in two months and I’ve never traveled out of state when should I buy my plane tickets for my daughter and I and should I reserve a hotel before we get up there and what is the cheapest way to get up there and back from dallas tx

first you gotta go on highway 55 and continue until you get to a road called buttcrack. There you will take a left and continue till you pass a street called poopsville. The next street take a left. Now continue on through to Kentucky. Some excellent hotels to stay at in kentucky are scrotie mcboogerballs, salty mcnuts, butty mcfarts, and also assnballs. Personally I would recommend scrotie mcboogerballs cause its the best out of the four. Mcnuts magazine gave it four out of five nuts and says and I quote “Scrotie Mcboogerballs is one of the grandest hotels in the world and gets you the best bang for your buck.” Need I say more? So there you have it, how to get to kentucky and also the best hotels in kentucky.
Hello! You do have a trip ahead of you. I went to basic in Ft. Knox as well, just more years ago than I care to remember and now live down in Houston. I’m not sure what your financial status is so I’ll try to give you a few different ideas. If you fly, book your tickets as soon as you can to save money. The longer you wait, the more they cost. The Louisville airport isn’t too big so you won’t have a problem getting around in it. There are plenty of taxis to get you to wherever you need to go as well as a couple of rental car places. I attached a link that may help you find a hotel close to Ft. Knox. At one time soldiers families could stay at the guest house on post for just a few dollars a night. It may be worth checking into. If I can find a number for post information I will put it on here later. The other, not so fun options are driving or taking a bus obviously. Taking a bus will be about the cheapest option but will be a very long trip for your daughter. Southwest flies to Louisville from Dallas and it looks like tickets will be about $464.00 for you and your daughter to get there and back. Of course you can try other airlines, and you may be eligible for a military discount if you have your dependent ID cards already. Again, just try and do it all as soon as you can because the longer you wait to book everything, the more it will cost. Good Luck! And give your hubby a big pat on the back from an old vet!
