Hunter/Jumper Camp in Midwest?
by admin on Sunday, June 12th, 2011 | 3 Comments
I usually go to 2 or 3 riding camps every summer, but this is my last year for one of them. I am looking to replace this camp with another hunter/jumper camp that focuses mainly on riding (minimal “activity periods”). I would like to focus on both flatwork and jumping. I could go to a camp where you bring your own horse but it isn’t a necessity. This camp needs to be in the midwest, or not to far away from Indiana. Any good suggestions?
A link to a camp website would be awesome. Thanks guys!

hoofbeat ridge in wisconsin is a fun one!
but im not sure exactly if thats what you are looking for.

Check out http://www.acacamps.org you can do searches of camps which are all certified by the American Camp Association. If you go to advanced search, select Equestrian Camps, and whatever other stuff is important to you. I used to go to a great riding camp in New Hampshire when I was younger, but I’m guessing that might be too far for you.
Lynn Palm has a riding academy in Michigan, Royal Palm, search here name via google and see if she has anything available. Her husband is an instructor as well. She mainly focuses on english, but does western as well, so the camps depend on her schedule and whether she’s in FL or MI
