I am looking to become a ninja (I am serious please don’t joke around)?

I am 18 i live in Connecticut US and i am looking to become a ninja. I am in good shape but have nowhere to go in order to become a ninja. I am not interested in some “ninja training camp” i want to go into a fully devoted program where i would spend years training. I can speak some Mandarin Chinese and would be able to learn quickly so as long as it was in either china or US(or English speaking country) that would be fine.
I would like to clarify~
I REALISE Japan is where ninjas are found im not that stupid Obviously if there are ninjutsu training classes in the US there would be higher quality ones in china reason being that the martial arts there is widely known unlike in America where everyone is fat and lazy. therefore China would be better to go to rather than staying in the US (my opinion of course).

You cant obtain citizenship in japan nor can you stay for years at a time making it imposable to obtain training in japan. (i dont know this for a fact im just going on what ive been told or seen online )

I have a 3.8GPA but how would i go about working for the CIA in a special forces unit?

I am a very patient person. I used to be a freerunner (parkour) and i can accurately hit a target with a throwing knife from 50 yards (obviously not a moving target.) I took some martial arts and my teacher had me spar with black belts because of my quick learning i was at the level of some of the adult black be
Black belts within 6 months.

I suppose being a shadow assassin would be more accurate to date.

Yes i would be fully devoted to everything the training required.

Therefore.. How would i go about becoming a shadow assassin for the CIA. or a similar title?

    Ask Jackie Chan. :)

  2. Agkas says:

no one is a ninja anymore

  3. Jericho says:

Ninjas are from Japan. You learned the wrong language, bro.

There is no such thing as a devoted “ninja” program. Ninjas are trained at birth as assassins. I believe it is too late for some 18 year old to be a ninja.

Why do you want to be a ninja? Most ninjas despise their life and some go into therapy once they are too wounded to continue their job. I doubt you would want that.

do they even have “ninja training camps?” like… not the kind that i used to hold in my backyard in second grade… hmmm…

  5. Sean says:

First of all, ninjas are highly skilled assassins who use stealth to the best of their abilities to get the kill, not fantasy warriors who live in the mountains and will one day fufill their destiny by fighting a dragon or something. second of all, if you were to become a ninja you would need to have immense patience so its not something you can “be able to learn quickly” in fact, ninjas trained pretty much their entire lives to be the greatest assassins in history. and third, you can’t be a ninja. they do exist nowadays but its really just a fantasy dream. Now if you really want to devote your life to something like this you can learn all you can about the history of ninjas and there are places that can train you with the skills a ninja would have, you can learn how ninjas use the equipment and their fighting style, but you can’t ACTUALLY become a ninja. there are some colleges that can open up these doors for you. its just a matter of looking hard.

    Ninjas = spies of japan

So in other words if you’re so serious. Go to college and work for the C.I.A.. Oh but you need to have like a 4.0 GPA they’re very smart people.

  7. CTC says:

Dude modern day Ninjas are the Special Forces. They get the job done without being noticed and have better toys.

  8. Shiro Kuma says:

Being a ninja in feudal Japan was basically a profession that, if we were to use modern-day terms, dealt with intelligence gathering, counter-intelligence operations, assassination, and unconventional warfare. Thus, the closest you can get to be a real ninja today is to join the military and attempt to get into the special forces, or, better yet, work for an intelligence agency or a paramilitary group attached to an intelligence agency.

Again, remember that being a ninja was a profession; and it no longer exists today. But modern special forces and intelligence agency share the same basic goals as the ninjas of ancient Japan.

If, however, you’re more interested in the martial skills which are closest to what the historical ninja used, then your best bet would be to join a legitimate ninjutsu dojo. Hard to find perhaps, but they do exist. Some of the Bujinkan guys on this board may be able to point you in the right direction.

Also note that either option are not short-term ‘training camps’, and will instead require years of intense training and dedication.

    EDIT:
The quality of martial arts training you can get in country A vs. country B is debatable. Remember also that as a nation with a long and proud martial history of its own, it is unlikely that you will find exceptional Japanese martial art schools in China. Also, as an added note: a black belt in 6 months is rather questionable.

Now, back to the modern equivalent of the historical ninja – special force operators and so on; hand-to-hand combat (and knive throwing) will not be a primary skill they rely on. And, as with any sort of career, the work won’t be as ‘exciting’ as you would like to imagine. Also note that assassinations – especially political ones – are pretty much a thing of the past. If you really want to know about going into the intelligence business or the military, you could start by looking at these sites:

I dont think there are ningas anymore

  10. Alex says:

    First, invent a time machine…

  11. Frank the tank says:

Ninjas existed in feudal Japan, so this is what you need:

    1) Invent a time machine to go back in time to feudal Japan.
    2) Re-born again as a Japanese.
    3) Learn ninjutsu.

That’s how you become a ninja.

Just to clarify, ninjas were Japanese, not Chinese, it is a great insult to call a Japanese Chinese and vice-versa.

You can become a ninja just as much as you could become a knight in the crusades.

    Get it now?

  12. Jason L says:

I think you need to clarify your question.

Are you looking to learn Ninjutsu, or do you want to become a shadow assassin.

There are many schools of Ninjutsu even in America, but the primary school is obviously in Japan. I doubt that any of the modern schools of Ninjutsu are connected to the criminal activity of assassination anymore, as assassins tend to prefer bombs and guns these days rather than shuriken and pressure-point striking.

Studying Ninjutsu does not make you a Ninja, any more than studying ‘Space’ makes you an astronaut. If you would like more serious answers to your question from people who may actually know how to help you, I would change your approach from wanting to be a Ninja, to wanting to learn Ninjutsu.

As has already been correctly stated in previous answers the modern Ninja equivalent would be a special forces operative, using a very different fighting style, and arsenal than old-school Ninjas. If you’re looking to become a modern day killing machine then Ninjutsu is not the skill-set you require.

    Best of luck.

Look up Masaaki Hatsume, the current Grandmaster of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Also try Richard Van Donk, the American master (only Westerner certified by Masaaki). They’re both on Wikipedia and Youtube. I took Budo Taijutsu in Edwardsville, Illinois for awhile at Tora Kage dojo under a very good and practical intstuctor.

  14. Patriot says:

Find somewhere that teaches Ninjitsu! As for your Mandarin Chinese youd be better off learning Wushu

  15. Eric the Younger says:

Ninjas are from Japan, not China.

If you know some Chinese, a better match for you would be to practice Shaolin Kung Fu, which looks just as cool as ninjutsu, but, unlike ninjutsu, is actually very well alive today (for aesthetic reasons, not combat reasons)

  16. Kemjiu ® says:

    Sorry.

But, Ninja are not existed anymore, only their knowledge left with them and such are being preserve only at some place at Japan.

Besides, during an earlier time, Ninja are considered assassins, a farmer during daytime as part of their disguise.

    Good luck

    ……………

  17. rat says:

    Ninja are Japanese moron.
The ancient ninja were not considered part of society, why would you want that? Also the closest you can get now days is to train in ninjutsu.
And most styles don’t teach ALL the 18 skills, I think even bujinkan only teaches 8 (I could be wrong though).

  18. Karasu Sennin says:

Look up BUJINKAN BUDO TAIJUTSU. Its the most authentic of the ninjutsu styles out there. Read books by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi so you can see what you are getting yourself into. It is a very intense and highly effective style, but it requires work and discipline.

Also you could look at http://www.ninjutsu.com

  19. JimG says:

Ninjutsu is a Japanese Art, but that doesn’t really matter. My question is this. Would you be willing to practice with a bow for 20yrs before ever getting an arrow? If you have that kind of dedication I would suggest going to Japan.
