I have been told that a coggins is no longer necessary in order to transport horses. I am in Michigan.?

I have had two horses donated to the camp I am working at and have been told just today that the Coggins test was no longer necessary in order to transport these horses. Is this true?

    I just moved to Pennsylvania from Michigan and I have shipped three horses, and yes I did need a coggins….
