a close friend joined the army two weeks ago i received a voicemail from him saying he was fine and that he needed a few things including stamps and envelopes and just before the phone call hung up he also needed my address i don’t know how i can reach him can someone please help me. all i know is that he is in boot camp in georgia for the army.

Contact the Personnel Officer of your closed friend.
Call any army depot and ask which base in Georgia has boot camp or basic training. Once you have this information, call the base, tell them when your guy started training, and they will be able to track him down !
Basic in Georgia means he’s at Fort Benning.
706-544-8886
706-544-9211
706-545-2533
are the phone numbers for three of the training brigades at Benning. Give them a buzz and see if they can help you out.
even easier, find the service member locator tool online. It’s easy to use, you just type in his name, and he’ll pop up. every branch has one, and it will tell you exactly where he is, and what his address is
Call his parents. If you call the base, they will not give you that kind of information. You can find out what company just picked up and so forth, but they won’t give you his exact pltn number. Call his parents and they should have it. If they don’t, they can contact his recruiter and get it for you. Or if you call his recruiter, he may give it to you. He’s not supposed too, but I’m sure you could tell him your dilemma and the least he could do is give the recruit your address.
Either ask his parents for his address or wait until he calls again and get it from him.
