   Where are you being recruited out of?

   Parts of Michigan are exceptions to the Mississippi river rule, my husband was recruited out of Jackson and he’s a Hollywood Marine.

   EDIT: My intial post was wrong. Michigan is one of those states that is tricky with boot camp locations for males. My bad.

   You will not choose where you go, thats for sure.

   Parts of Michigan and Northern Indiana go to San Diego, while most will go to PI. Just call a recruiter near you and ask him.

   The rule of east of the Mississippi goes to PI does not apply for those parts I mentioned and parts of Louisiana as well.

   My bunk mate in boot camp was from Michigan, and we went to SD. I also just spoke to a new Marine who lives in Michigan as well, he graduated PI.

   The lower western part of Michigan goes to SD.

   Probably Parris Island, South Carolina.
   East Coast = Parris Island
   West Coast = San Diego. All girls go to Parris Island
